How ironic that the farmers being the country's source of food and provider of food grains are struggling to feed their own children and dying of hunger.

P Sainath talks about how when some countries like Ethiopia and other sub saharan countries experienced a reduce in hunger, a country like India which is supposed to be a comparatively richer nation saw a rise in hunger. Exporting food grains while the producers of those food grains starve. Clearly something is extremely wrong with how our nation is working and our policies.
