Saturday, a slow day even in the middle of a lockdown, when everyday is a slow day, my dad decided today was the day he was going to mow the lawn, again. I was the designated grass basket emptier(?) while dad did most of the work( not to forget that he also got into a little fight with our peach tree because its branches are low lying and hurt himself a little). To be honest it was better than taking an afternoon nap like I'm a 100 years old, I admit that I'm lazy, does not mean I like being lazy. You can imagine how the lockdown must be going for somebody who dislikes being lazy but will not make any efforts to change that either. I was given the task of cutting the lawn's edges with a giant scissors because the mower could not reach those parts, I swear, at this point, I will agree to do anything that isn't studying. It started pouring about 30 minutes into our lawn mowing and leaves collecting project. My hometown is Chandigarh, rain is seen here, just as any other weather, in moderation, but the downpour we experienced today could have been compared to the rain in Mumbai, where I currently study. Chandigarh, when it rains, or even otherwise is very different from other cities in the country, or so everybody says and so I have observed from my limited but still substantial experience from visiting other cities. Its a beautiful town, with its skies straight out of a Van Gogh painting and autumn like we see in movies and people who some of us would call "ideal" people, people who run and have dogs as pets, they're far from perfect but who cares, after all nobody talks to their neighbours in this town. It is the greatest dilemma I've ever faced, I've missed Chandigarh being in Mumbai and my heart longs for Mumbai every time I end up staying in Chandigarh for too long. Anyway, the highlight of my day was when my 8 years old golden retriever attacked a full grown pitbull encouraged by my 3 years old beagle, it was all quite funny actually, everybody tried to make sure Buddy (our golden) didn't get hurt, the pitbull stood there with a questionable look on his face as Buddy tried (?) to attack him, like he was giving him time to reconsider. It is also the first time in a month that i stepped out of my house(which btw also includes the lawn) it felt like heaven. The weather and sky was beautiful, we took Buddy and Joey for a walk, it was the first time i decided to tag along, I'm glad that I did. All the days are same. Small things make all the difference. Music makes all the difference.Song of the day: Hell or flying by Jeremy Zucker
